QA Testing Analyst

Must have at least 4-5 years as a Tester
Must exhibit strong understanding of concepts of different
types of testing and Software Testing Lifecycles
Must have knowledge of banking systems (products such as
Deposits, Loans, Trust, eBanking, etc.), and how it
relates to the industry as a whole
Must be able to understand and analyze problems
technically. Should have technical background in ETL tools
like Data Stage etc.
Must be able to write test cases and test scenarios for
complex software applications
Must be able to execute test cases and scenarios. Must be
able to report and review testing results. Should have
working knowledge of defect management lifecycle including
usage of tools like Quality Center, Remedy etc.
Must be familiar with Data Warehouse concepts, Business
Objects including understanding universe development and
report writing
Must be familiar with writing SQL queries and understand
data concepts and data flow
Must be able to do the test planning for projects with
assistance from leads
Must demonstrate a basic understanding of the Traceability
Matrix, Test Coverage Table, Risk Assessment, and test
estimation
Must be able to coordinate and interface with multiple
functional groups and teams. Must be able to work
independently and within a team.
Should be able to participate in project status meetings
Should have good understanding of different test metrics
for project. Be able to document and share test metric
reports with the team and project management
Should be able to review requirements and high level designs
Should have understanding of open systems/distributed
computing environments
Should have ability to handle multiple projects of high
complexity in a multi tasking environment
Should have strong written and oral communications skills
Should have strong problem resolving capabilities including
brainstorming alternatives to given problem and
implementing alternative solution approaches
Prior programming experience would be a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of methods, tools, and technology used in
software testing
Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and
technology used to create and support defect-free,
application software that meets the needs of the
client/business partner
Knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and
roles of application development methodologies
Knowledge of primary database engines such as Oracle, SQL
Server, DB2 with a demonstrated ability to write complex
queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting
Knowledge of object-oriented development tools, techniques,
and principles with expertise in at least one object-
oriented language
Knowledge of functions, features, and components of
existing and planned operating systems and applications
Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients’ needs
Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem
solving
Ability to work in an agile development environment where
developers and testing personnel work closely together to
ensure requirements are met or exceeded
Ability to deliver results under pressure
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding
skills, working with technical and non-technical
individuals
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public
