  Microsoft Integration Architect
  Milwaukee, WI


 
The Enterprise Integration Architect is responsible for
 
leading the design and development of software used to
 integrate client systems to enterprise or third party
 systems. This individual must contribute to establishing
 and champion the adherence to the client integration
 strategy. To do so effectively, it is essential that this
 individual remains aware of the industry trends that need
 to be taken into consideration for design of solutions or
 improvements.


Responsibility of this position is centered on ensuring the
 technology solution vision addresses and aligns business,
 analytics, data, application, technical architecture
 appropriately. The Enterprise Integration Architect is
 responsible for guaranteeing the creation of successful
 enterprise solutions which solve a customer’s business
 problems from inception through execution. The ability to
 effectively communicate strategy and potential solutions
 over a wide range of technical levels to a diverse
 audience including client business users, technical staff,
 and executive management in the context of dynamic working
 design sessions is essential for success in this position.
 Travel to client sites is required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Establish strong working relationships with clients as a
 trusted technical advisor and IT solution partner.
 
Design, coordinate, monitor, and implement all client
 integration strategies.
 
Initiate, develop, and instigate a progressive program of
 continuous integration improvements.
 
Work actively with Integration Development, Product
 Development, and Client Services teams to ensure that
 integration strategies are known, understood, and adhered
 to.
 
Understand and help refine clients’ high level requirements
 and envisage solution based upon client needs, which might
 span multiple product lines and technologies.
 
Provide expertise and leadership to develop overall
 integration architecture for layers of a solution which
 might span business process, systems, hardware, operating
 systems, applications and networking environments, as well
 as platforms.
 
Engage on projects to ensure the overall integrity of the
 enterprise solutions throughout the solutions lifecycle.
 
Train and mentor other developers to assist in the
 development of integration strategies and solutions.
 
Provide regular status updates to the Product Development
 Management team.
 

Requirements:

Excellent human relations skills with demonstrated
 relationship interaction at all levels of an organization,
 including C level executive relationships. Must be able to
 communicate deeply technical information in an easy-to-

consume format.
 
Experience or knowledge of web services, MSMQ, Microsoft
 Host Integration Server, ESB, SOA, windows services,
 distributed applications, command patterns, and
 interoperability.
 
Experience implementing an enterprise integration solution.
 
Solid and proven analytical and problem solving skills.
 
Extensive experience with Microsoft Visual Basic, VB.NET,
 ASP.NET, C#.NET, and with their Microsoft enterprise
 application development frameworks.
 
Proficient with defining and interpreting XML and XSD
 
Thorough understanding and experience with network
 protocols and systems level programming
 
Strong network security experience
 
Experience with RDBMS, in particular with Microsoft SQL
 Server, Oracle and DB2 databases
 
Comfortable with TSQL
 
Demonstrated knowledge of structured development processes,
 technical project management, software testing and
 documentation.
 
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize
 multiple tasks, and problem solve under pressure of
 deadlines and resource constraints.
 
Insurance background preferred.
 
May travel up to 15%.
 
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information
 Systems, Engineering or related discipline. Proven
 leadership abilities including 7+ years experience.
